Buy or Not to Buy
It’s
Time to Build the TBDC’s FUTURE
I just got back from looking at a GREAT piece of
land. One Hundred Twenty acres with a pond and a long
distance view. Price is $1,000.00 an acre. It’s about
35 miles from Tulsa. Go North on highway 75 to
Highway 20, then west to Skiatook and continue west
15 miles, turn South 1.5 miles and you are
(hopefully) at the TBDC trial / sporting clay field.
We agreed that we needed a place of our own, now
let’s get together and work towards the purchase. I
believe this is just what we are looking for in a
piece of land.
Our final spring trial was a fun hunt and it was a
real good one. We had 18 entries and I know a quite a
few guys that were turkey hunting or we would have
had even more. Mike Hill (smoke house) decided he
would show us his expertise at Fajitas, and show us
he did, they were awesome. Thanks for all the hard
work Mike we appreciate it.
The club picnic at Mohawk Park is this week end (last
week end, by the time you read this) it is sure to be
bigger and better than ever. For those of you that
didn’t make it, YOU MISSED OUT!! I can say that ahead
of time simply because the last three years have been
wonderful.
We have really had some unseasonably cool weather for
this time of year, makes me think we could have had
the team hunt, but, we decided to push it into the
fall. With this weather it seems to me that the
pheasants and quail may have a decent hatch. I have
been told that some bugs are even out in the fields,
great food source for the chicks. I have seen how
high the grass has gotten already and that too is a
big plus. Looks like a good season ahead.
MOST of us have been warming the barrels of our guns
on Sunday mornings at the clay shoots. You need to
try and make it out for the fun. Remember if you
break 30 straight in the five station shoot, you win
a prize of $100.00. Someone sooner or later has to do
it; it might as well be YOU. Come on out and give it
your best shot. Bobby is trying to do it with a pump
up BB gun. LOL
YOU MUST BE AT THE NEXT MEETING. We have a lot of
decisions to make, and you have to help make them.

BE THERE!
It is that time of year again. School’s Out. Please
make sure that your guns are put up, locked up and
out of reach, not only from your children but from
the others that come to visit and play. DO IT !!!
